The Disaster Relief Program provides assistance with disaster recovery after a state or federally declared emergency. The Disaster Relief Program offers grands for owner-occupied households to assist with disaster related recovery efforts not covered by insurance or other state or federal funding sources.

Eligibility & Requirements

Disaster Relief can fund repair & recovery efforts for:
- Owner-occupied primary residences
- Located in Indiana
- With a household income at or below
  - $ 79,600 Delaware County
  - $110,300 Hamilton County
  - $110,300 Hancock County
  - $ 83,400 Madison County
  - $110,300 Marion County
  - $110,300 Morgan County
Eligible uses

Disaster Relief funds may be used for the following:
- Temporary housing or lodging
- Emergency home repairs
- Emergency power supply
- Replacement of certain essential household systems
- Utillity reconnection fees
- Transportation for relocation or medical needs

Documentation of Need

To help us review applications as quickly as possible, please submit documentation supporting your disaster-related losses or expenses at the time of application. Documentation may include:
- Receipts for repairs, cleanup, or replacement items
- Contractor estimates or bids
- Insurance claim documentation
- Photographs of damage
- Temporary housing or hotel expenses
- Appliance or household-item replacement estimates
- Other documents demonstrating disaster-related financial need
- Please note that grant awards are intended to provide limited financial assistance and may not cover the full cost of damages. Submission of documentation does not guarantee funding.
To expedite the review process, please upload any available supporting documentation (receipts, repair estimates, invoices, photographs, insurance claim documentation, etc.) related to your disaster-related losses or expenses. As well as proof of the total household income.
